Building Christ-centered marriages,
one couple at a time ™
Feb. 19th – Cory and Nikki – Diocese of Lincoln, NE “I was not expecting all the great information and the interactive format that course provided”
Him: We really liked being able to work at our own pace and that feedback was provided at the end of each assignment.
Her: We learned so much from this course. I was leery about taking the class online rather than in-person and was pleasantly surprised. It was incredibly organized and ran smoothly, the instructors provided excellent feedback and insight, and it allowed us to work on the program as we were able to.
Both: This course definitely allowed us to communicate better as it pushed us to talk about topics which we've never discussed and had slightly differing opinions. It provided us with a format to discuss our differences and highlighted ways for us to improve as a couple.

Feb. 12th – Scott and Jerianne (Interfaith) – Diocese of Sacramento, CA “It put a lot of perspective on our marriage and how to approach good and bad situations”
Him: It was a great experience learning more about my fiancé’s religious background and the importance of marriage. I think it definitely does have a bit of an impact in how I view Catholicism and how is like to raise our future children. I am open to learning more about the other sacraments as well and its importance to our daily lives.
Her: I loved learning about how marriage is another gift from God. I liked how the lessons taught us the importance of family and being the best example of a marriage for our future children.
Both: We've adapted active listening into our conversations and made it a habit to relate our experiences to the bible.
Feb. 5th – Robert and Maria – Diocese of San Angelo, TX “In completing this course, I can definitely say I have a revived enlightenment for the power of his love and teachings”
Him: I really enjoyed this course. I like how we were able to be flexible and work on it when we had time to focus and absorb all of the information. The way it was structured really did allow us to take time and communicate and look more in depth into each section. I would like to thank you both for taking the time to help guide us through this.
Her: I appreciated that the course was offered online. This was very helpful considering our work/life balance. I really enjoyed the content and presentation overall. It was user friendly and easy to follow along. Our instructors were very insightful and I sincerely looked forward to reviewing their feedback. Their passion for the material helped inspire further conversation and understanding. I enjoyed that I felt I really learned new things in every course. I was raised Catholic and am confident I have a general understanding but I really enjoyed diving deeper with an open heart and open mind.
Both: We appreciated how we were not judged by any of our answers or mistakes that we have made. If we did not interpret something correctly, our instructors helped us see it in a different way that then we could discuss.
Jan. 29th– Justin and Brittany – Archdiocese of Baltimore, MD “The course definitely made me more excited to become closer with God with my Husband by my side”
Him: The course was very helpful and useful for us as we prepare for marriage. Our instructors were fantastic and provided thorough feedback for each course.

Him: I was very satisfied with the course. The online access was important to me due to the fact that we both have busy work schedules. Our instructors were very supportive and made the process easy. Thank you both.
Her: I wasn't sure what to expect in this course. However, I found our instructors to be absolutely wonderful and supportive. Their insights were incredibly helpful. I am exceedingly grateful for their assistance through this process.
Both: It gave us the freedom to have open and honest conversations about God, our relationship with him, and our expectations for marriage. We also noticed that it created a space and time to sit with one another, without any other distractions. We talked about God, life and shared our feelings. That was our favorite part.

Jan. 15th – Jesus and Lourdes – Archdiocese of Los Angeles, CA “It gave us time to talk and connect with each other”
Him: As a cradle Catholic, this course reminded me of the foundations of our faith. It helped me to learn more about our faith and corrected my misunderstanding and perception of certain teachings about marriage.
Her: From the first question to the last one, it kept me informed and gave me great feedback. At times, we had different answers, but in the end, we came together. We have a better understanding of what a true marriage is in God's ways and His plans.
Both: We learned some new communication techniques that have helped us to listen more attentively and take time to grasp what we wanted to convey with our words versus our emotions and actions.
Jan. 8th – Jordan and Julia – Diocese of Washington DC “It felt good to pray together and to make our relationship with God, both individually and as a couple”
Him: Wonderful opportunity to connect with one another and discuss important topics through a spiritual lens.
Her: The course brought us closer and helped us to become more comfortable talking about our faith together.
Both: It allowed us to talk about difficult topics, which we had previously addressed from a less spiritual lens, with a new focus on our Faith, the word of God, and teachings of the church relate to those topics.

Jan. 1st – John and Emily – Diocese of Phoenix, AZ “I've thought for years that my marriage was strong but I can already feel that we are growing as a couple”
Him: I was thankful for how thoroughly things were explained. Coming from little to no knowledge of the Catholic faith, our instructors were able to break things down so that I could better understand.
Her: I actually loved this course. Not only did we learn a lot but it opened the door to exploring our faith together as a married couple. I am excited to see where our relationship goes and how it strengthens.
Both: we talked about things on a deeper level. Also, after a refresher on communication we are excited to put some things to use to make the most of our relationship. We both want to be more understanding of each other’s needs.
Dec. 11th – Alek and Lauren – Diocese of Lansing, MI “It helped me grow my relationship with God”
Him: I was very pleased with the depth of explanation and wide range of topics that were covered. There was no beating around the bush! Just good, honest, Catholic teaching and so much good reading to further the development of our relationship.
Her: Going into this marriage prep, I really had no idea what to expect. I was so happy with how it went! I feel way more prepared for marriage. This gives me a much better foundation for what to expect when married.
Both: There was a lot of prompting for conversation between us that we don't often talk about super in-depth so it was helpful to bring some of those topics back into focus (finances, sex, parenting). There wasn't anything that we had NEVER talked about thankfully, but it was a good refresher, and so far, our communication has been very open and honest and fruitful, thank God.

Nov. 27th – Nicholas and Hope – Archdiocese of San Francisco, CA “I feel called to give thanks to God and deepen my faith because I have truly felt his presence in helping me prepare for marriage”
Him: We had a wonderful time completing this course. It allowed us to grow closer to each other and to God. It also helped us better understand the Church's teachings and what it really means to get married. It's made us even more excited for the future and the life we'll build together.
Her: I loved this course because it really taught me a lot about the importance of marriage and the commitment Nick and I are making. Or rather, it affirmed the importance I already knew, and put it all in the context of God's love for us. It was educational in the sense that it revisited important Catholic principles, but also gave us ideas for how to live in our marriage. Most of all, I am so grateful for the way this course brought Nick and I together. I can really feel the beauty and importance of our shared faith, and will miss sitting down to work through the lessons! Though I know our faith and commitment to God is an ongoing education and commitment, and Nick and I can continue our practice together.
Both: We appreciated the conversations that it prompted us to have. They were important, but not all necessarily things we would have talked about on our own. We also appreciated the approachability of the course. It was never condescending or assumed knowledge.
