Aug. 5th – Jonathan and Justine– Diocese of Orange, CA “This course helped us get to know each other on a different level which is great.”

Him: I really liked the course because it gave me good refreshers and helped us work through thoughts and ideas together. It brought up some points we may not have thought of on our own.

Her: I enjoyed this course because it really opened up important conversations between Jon and I that we haven’t fully had before. I also learned a lot about the faith through the feedback we were given which was very helpful.

Both: We had many conversations that we hadn’t had before and we dove into what we think our marriage will look like with Christ as the center of our marriage. We talked a lot about our future which was provoked by many of the questions and readings of this course and we are so excited to start out our marriage with a strong foundation.

Aug. 6th – Glen and Sandra – Diocese of Joliet, IL “It was very helpful that the course was available online and offered us flexibility”

Him: This course truly helped me to better understand the sacrament of marriage and also what God and the Catholic Church expect from each spouse. I now have better knowledge to help make the marriage strive and bond more with my wife.

Her: I enjoyed the course because it went into detail about the topics. It helped to remind me of things I had forgotten, so I thought it was very useful.

Him: Even though my spouse and I have been married civilly for almost 7 years, this course provided me the knowledge to become closer to her along with God and the Catholic Church.

Aug. 7th – Lucas and Ana – Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, TX “I would like to get more involved in the church community and use my gifts and talents to help in the liturgy and church projects”

Him: Think we learned a lot about ourselves and each other through this course. We were given a lot of good information and talked about topics we never have thought about ourselves. I would recommend anyone getting married to go through this course because it will only help you learn more about each other.

Her: I really enjoyed this course; it has really helped us to learn and grow more together. It was definitely worth it to do this hard but good work. Going into marriage with our eyes and hear opened to God and the covenant we are making with Him is so important and this course has given us great tools to take with us on the journey.

Both: We were able to take the time to discuss a lot of situations, examples and we feel we have a stronger foundation for the start of our marriage. I feel we were able to be more connected thru the topics and fell more in love with each other because of the way we connect on some of these topics or agreements we came to. We have a lot of good sources to refer to if we ever run into an issue.

Aug. 8th – Michael and Suzette – Diocese of Sacramento, CA “It exceeded my expectations about marriage by church vs civilly”

Him: Even though we have been married for almost thirty years, I have learned the importance of having God in the center.  I also learned several tips on communication.

Her: I enjoyed these assignments because they gave us challenging discussions for the past, present, and future our marriage.  It provided us with tools to help communicate with respect.

Aug. 9th – David and Karla – Archdiocese of Edmonton, Canada “My faith was revived by understanding the importance of the sacrament of marriage.”(Translated into English from a feedback form originally written in Spanish.)

Him: I found it extremely helpful, even though we have been living together for over 25 years and have decided to receive the sacrament of marriage. It helped us reinforce our union since marriage is something very serious and sacred.

Her: The course is very well done, all the topics covered from beginning to end are of utmost importance.

Both: We talked about the topics and focused a lot on studying and answering as best as we could to our understanding. At the end of the course, we talked with our children about everything we studied and discussed several topics that are very important to know before marriage.
