Sep. 16th – Anthony and Ashley – Diocese of Duluth, MN “It really showed us a lot of different healthy ways to communicate and grow in a relationship”

Him: This course really taught us the importance of our faith within our relationship. It showed us the importance of it now, and in our future as our life evolves and our family grows. It also taught us healthy ways to grow and communicate together.

Her: This course helped teach me how to keep faith at the center point of a relationship and into marriage- as the anchor of holding together that relationship. Some of the topics and discussions felt like common sense, and a lot of them were tough and required deeper thinking. I liked that some of the questions did require us to work as a team to come up with answers. It just felt very helpful, and bonding. 

Both: Each lesson allowed us to have deep conversations with each other in order to come up with responses we felt we both agreed on. In having these deep conversations, we really had a chance to grow and learn about each other and how to best serve one another.

Sep. 17th – Pablo and Sara – Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, TX “It has made me more excited now about getting our convalidation, and I find our decision to do so has even a bigger purpose now than before we took the course”

Him: Given our work schedule, we were not able to do any in-person courses. We were worried an online course would not be comprehensive or good enough, but we were happy to realize it was quite the opposite. We have had the liberty to take the units in the course at our own pace and we had time to discuss when some parts required more reflection than others. The big step we are about to take in our lives has become much more meaningful thanks to the content of this course.

Her: We are really happy we took this course. This gave us a lot of information that we know we would be needing in our new stage as a couple. Taking the course online made it more personal, we schedule time together to work on each of the chapters and we have time to discuss them as a couple. We would like to thank our instructors to dedicate so much time and effort to read our responses and give us feedback for each of the sessions.

Both: Sometimes life does not give us a moment to sit and discuss things as important as the ones that we covered. Taking this course has been an opportunity for us to sit at the end of the day and reflect on important aspects of our future family.

Sep. 18th – Nilson and Gabriela – Archdiocese of Detroit, MI “Now we know how to practice assertive communication with respect and love.” (Feedback originally written in Spanish, translated into English)

Him: By receiving this marriage preparation, I realized its importance for living in grace.

Her: The topics were extremely important and meaningful, each one providing a very clear understanding of what the sacrament of marriage is about.

Both: It’s truly incredible the technological opportunities the world offers today. For us, it was very meaningful to be able to receive our marriage preparation through this platform, especially since we were in different countries finishing some important matters. We are truly grateful to God, first and foremost, and to everyone involved in making this platform accessible to everyone.

Sep. 19th – Thomas and Megan – Diocese of Rockville Centre, NY “It ignited my desire to learn more about the Catholic Church and get closer to God”

Him: I felt closer to God after doing this course than ever before. It truly opened up my eyes to all I need to learn in the Catholic Church. 

Her: This course was eye opening in many areas. It reminded me of the importance of getting married in the Catholic Church and I am glad we made the decision to do so. It also opened my eyes to conversations that Thomas and I may not have had if we did not complete this course together.

Both: We greatly appreciate this course! The answer keys were so in-depth, and it shows how much effort our instructors put into us as a couple.

Sep. 20th – Mclane and Morgan – Diocese of Victoria, TX “This course renewed and revived my desire to get closer with God by seeing all of the great things that come from it”

Him: This course has taught me so many things and together as a couple. The course was challenging at times but the outcome was worth it!

Her: I feel I have learned so much about myself and each other. This course and instructors were great.

Both: We shared things and opinions and able to learn more about each other. We feel closer as a couple and feel our foundation for marriage is much more strong after completing this course.
