Feb. 20th – Brendan and Gabriella – Archdiocese of Edmonton, Canada “Showed me that my faith can be part of my life at all times and not just in times of need”
Him: I thought it was very well done as far as laid out and the subject matter. The material was engaging and inspired great conversation between Gabriella and me.
Her: I thought this was really important for us as a couple and for our relationship with God. I loved how this course was able to accommodate our busy schedules and we could work at our own pace.
Both: We plan to volunteer with church activities in the community and attend mass more on a regular basis.
Feb. 21st – Adam and Thuyen – Diocese of Sacramento, CA “I appreciated that the assignments allowed us to have deeper conversations about God in our life”
Him: I have had a very educational experience with the entire course. I've enjoyed everything from the detailed history of Adam and Eve to the exercises that made us reflect on our outlook of life. The course has opened my eyes to new perspectives to many questions and issues that I am sure will help in our marriage. The tips from our advisors really helped us thoroughly understand the exercises and offered great insight.
Her: I had a wonderful experience with this class. Because the class was online it was able to give us more flexibility with our schedule and we were able to work on the assignments at our own pace. We were able to spend time to discuss the questions and did not feel rushed. The assignments made us dig deeper and have deeper conversations about what our marriage would look like with God. Because Adam did not grow up Catholic, through this course it was nice to see how open Adam was and his willingness to let God in. I learned a lot and will be forever grateful for Irma and Mel's insight.
Both: This course has allowed us to communicate better in many ways. We are able to better communicate to each other when we have issues with something that the other person is doing in a way that is more expressive of how it makes us feel rather than casting blame or judgement.
Feb. 22nd – Samuel and Abigail (Interfaith) – Diocese of Springfield, IL “I most appreciated the fact that this course helped to spark conversations about our different religions”
Him: My overall impression was that this class was very beneficial to our growing relationship as we grow closer to our wedding. It promoted lots of good conversation and helped us learn new skills that we can use to better our relationship after our wedding.
Her: I learned a lot about myself and my significant other both personally and spiritually. I think the course allowed us to understand a deeper connection with God and with our faiths.
Both: This course allowed us to feel comfortable and brought our relationship to a stronger spiritual connection with each other and God.
Feb. 23rd – Eric and Molly – Diocese of Crookston, MN “I appreciated being able to have open conversations about many subjects”
Him: Everything was in great detail. Learned more about the Catholic church.
Her: The course was excellent. It definitely opened new conversations about faith and our relationship.
Both: It made us talk about things we would have never thought about bringing up or were too uncomfortable to talk about.
Feb. 24th – Salvatore and Cassidy – Diocese of Rockville Centre, NY “It got us both to really open up and discuss what a marriage takes to work”
Him: Excellent experience, we got to go at our own pace. With both of our jobs (cop and nurse) we work crazy hours all over the place and this was a great way to do this program.
Her: I loved this program; it was just my fiancé and myself and we really got to connect on a very close and personal level. I also loved how we got to go through the program at our own pace.
Both: It got us discussing topics that we may not have discussed and it opens your eyes and mind to why God brought us together and what our goals are.
