Jan. 9th – Rob and Gab – Diocese of Camden, NJ  “I definitely feel the setting of completing it at home allowed for more conversation and less intimidation”

Him: This class was very explorative. It created great discussions between my fiancée and me. It taught us how to further our faith while getting ready to take the journey of marriage together.

Her: This experience overall was a great opportunity for us to have conversations about our values and faith. I feel these topics were easily guided and were meaningful to also have feedback from our instructors. My fiancé and I have been able to feel closer and even more ready for our marriage.

Both: Our instructors were amazing with their insightful answers while reviewing in a timely manner.

Jan. 10th – Tyler and Ally – Archdiocese of New Orleans, LA  “I appreciated the feedback and advice we received throughout the course”

Him: It was a great learning experience and very well thought out.

Her: The details and timeline of the course was amazing and it allowed us to get closer with each other as well as God.

Both: It allowed us to talk about the good and the bad in our relationship. It allowed us to talk about things that we have not brought up before in our relationship.

Jan. 11th – Alexander and Olivia – Diocese of Sacramento, CA  “I think it really prepared us to have a marriage that mirrors Christ’s love for us”

Him: It really made us have deeper conversations about the meaning of the Sacrament of Matrimony and about our faith, relationship to one another, as well as to God.

Her: The examinations of the Bible and the discussion prompts pushed us to have meaningful conversations and I feel that they ultimately brought us closer together and made us stronger and more prepared for marriage.

Both: It improved our communication because it showed us ways to convey our emotions without targeting the other.

Jan. 12th – Kevin and Kristin – Diocese of Rockville, NY  “The course was very in depth and sparked discussions about important topics”

Him: I appreciated that we really created a bond with God together that we did not have before. We have attended church more and I also feel we are closer as a couple.

Her: I appreciated learning more about the perspective of marriage from the Catholic Church since most knowledge of marriage comes from society. To be able to be reminded of the true purpose of marriage through this course was definitively the best part!

Both: It was nice to be able to discuss passages of the Bible and the reading from the course together. This definitely reignited our faith and allowed us to be more open to Christ.

Jan. 13th – Matthew and Rebecca – Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, TX  “I learned a lot about my faith, even though I have been Catholic my whole life”

Him: It was a great course. Stimulated a lot of discussion between Becca and I and I think brought us closer to each other and God.

Her: I appreciated the detailed feedback from our instructors and I feel closer to Matt and Christ.

Both: We both think it improved out communication AND it definitely made us think more about ways we can both get closer to God.

*Bonus* Post Marriage Prep – Michael and Carmela, Diocese of Dallas, TX

I think about our instructors often because everything in the marriage prep course is so relevant to today. The course was perfect for our learning style and gave us ample time to discuss and learn together as a team. We will keep y’all in our prayers as well. Let me know if there is anything specific, we can offer up for y’all. For us, for our marriage and our family- past present and future! We’re expecting a baby boy end of May!
